The Change edition by Eva Smith Literature Fiction eBooks
It's a new story about accidental gender swap. Not just a swap, but appearing like his lab partner. Unfortunately, the change happened during an explosion where his lab partner and many other scientists are killed (including the inventor of the gender swap serum). So he/she seems Ok to others apart from memory loss. He/she doesn't like her fiancé, but likes his brother/cousin (author is confused about this). When she's ready to try the gender swap experiment again, an unexplained intrigue intervenes. The idea is good, but the author writes like English isn't her native language. So there are many (MANY) hard to read sentences. It's badly in need of re-editing, or even, a total re-write.
The ending seems unfinished. Some lose ends not tidied up, and the intrigue remains unexplained. Not recommended, unless you are prepared to suffer thru the bad English.

They drank the formulae and was turn into women. They were surprise and shocked.
Good read! Eva Smith has written a very good book about bisexual relationships. Worth reading this book! A very fast read.
The Change by Eva Smith is a good story with excitement and good twists. Would have given a better rating but do not like to purchase more books to read the end of the story.
Two words Spell Check!!! You know, if I were to publish something that someone other than my mom were going to read, I think I'd ask a friend or two, to read it first for errors. Grammar, spelling, context, etc. Even if I lived alone in a cave in Siberia, in this day and age, I just don't understand how people publish things without putting their work through spell check first.
That aside, it was overall, kind of a crappy story. The main character Ethan/Lisa kind of seemed devoid of any emotion. People close to him die and he changes gender and he reacts about as much as if he was making out a grocery list. Eggs, salt, I'm a chick, bread, waffles...
And of course, my single most annoying peeve of all is the unmentioned cliff hanger. This is either the classic example or the author passed away mid story, which could very well explain the excessive typos.
My overall opinion, skip this skunker. Even free, it's a waste of money.
This story approached the gender change genre from a different angle than most, with an actual story behind it, rather than just an excuse to write steamy sex scenes. Those are present too, but they're not gratuitous. The accidental change works very well, and the general gist of how the character reacts to the change, as well as reacting to the death of his lab partner (who he is now impersonating) is quite realistic.
The thing that's not realistic is the writing and the grammar. In addition to some spelling and word choice mistakes, the author writes dialogue that clearly does not feel like how people would actually speak. Now, the other reviewer here suggested that this was because English is not the author's first language, but it also felt like the author submitted the first draft as the kindle book, as evidenced by the presence of [?] several times, as if the author wasn't sure of a particular word. Yes, that's good to include when you're writing to remind yourself to check later, but take it out before you publish the manuscript!
So there you have it. Maybe the author will go through and edit the book (or have a professional editor edit it) and then this review will be out of date, but until then, my current review stands. If you can suspend your disbelief enough to ignore the basic writing flaws, though, you'll enjoy this book.
